Personality Type Analysis:
Well, as I suspected from the last time I took the MMDI and Jung personality tests, I am a combination of two personality types; however, as I have aged, I have become much more serious (or the much more serious person has come out!).
Types: ESTJ & ESPJ on "MMDI" website: I enjoy a balance between flexibility and structure, nurturing harmony in relationships and working in groups cohesively is a priority above my own feelings, and building organization within chaotic environments makes me feel at peace. These are pretty spot-on and my husband is sitting next to me laughing...earlier he was getting angry because I was trying to plan and organize our entire evening with the kids and I was getting even angrier because he DIDN'T want to organize and plan our entire evening! One type feels at peace in structure, the other in a more flexible environment. I guess being a teacher checks off several satisfying personality traits for me on this site.
For the KISA site, I am a balance between ISTJ (scientists, medical doctors and military leaders, lawyers, etc.) and ENFP (actors, teachers, psychologists, sociologists, etc.). I feel a strong pull towards each of these; I need a balance between alone time and social time...each give me energy and I value each very highly. I need structure and balance and the chance to figure things out on my own and work very hard til the task is done, but, I also need freedom and to build my own structure, not have it enforced upon me.
The sites are pretty accurate, as far as I can interpret, and it is revealing to take these tests every few years as we are not static creatures, we are dynamic beings that change personality "states" as our environment introduces new pressures, yet, we are also creatures of our genetic "traits" that are more constant or static. Very interesting.
